Rich Banat region on the rims of Pannonia plain, in the embrace of rivers Nera and Danube, lives since the oldest stone ages. Various tribes and civilizations including Celts, Skits, Duchess, Romans, Goths and Sarmats, Turks, Austro-Hungarians and Russians left their traces in the region. Today’s Bela Crkva is known as a hunting, vacation and leisure and winegrowing region, was established by the German voluntary settlers, after Banat won its freedom from Turks in 1723. It is a quaint and serene place with rich tourist offerings – 7 beautiful crystal clear lakes, Danube – Tisa – Danube river channel, Delibatska Pescara, river Nera, providing possibilities for various leisure and vacation activities.
